{I’ve posted this room a few weeks ago. But here are some new photos of  Catherine kwong’s room for The san francisco decorator showcase. I am LIVING for that painted floor.}

{TheViceroy Anguilla is located in West End, Anguilla. The property features fantastic living spaces as well as beautifully manicured grounds and great places to eat, designed by Kelly WearstlerThe hotel features breezeways that one passes through to get to their suite. The tiling is modern, and gorgeous! I love the armchairs, they have that beach feel, but are very chic.}

… impossibly stylish and full of excitement, with a bit of scandal, of course.  I wanted the room to be just like Mick and Bianca: luxe and decadent, but with a rock ‘n roll edge.

{ isn’t this room astonishing?  designed by catherine kwong for the san francisco decorator showcase, and inspired by mick & bianca jagger in the ‘70’s, it is the very definition of ornate austerity, with its dark and dramatic painted floor inspired by the paintings of cy twombly, gilded mirrors and crown moulding, and of course, glamorous bits of gold …}
{Loving the casual ease in this living room by The Rockwell Group. This is my kind of eclectic, and while each piece is unique and beautiful in its own way, they all sing together.}

{Architect Carlos Aparicio filled his Florida home with unique items and hard to find antiques that still give a modern vibe (read up about all the amazing detail here!). I particularly like the common living areas.}

{Hotel Thérèse by Jean-Louis Deniot. I swear I don’t mean to be posting so much of his work…}

{Spring-time decorating in washes of natural light and daydream shades of dusky lilac. This is the Georgetown home of interior designer, Frank Babb Randolph, where serenity reigns and classical and contemporary collide. I can’t get enough of those insanely lovely toile screens…}

{Alexander Brenner decided to have reveals at every connection in this living room. It reminds me of a line drawing. That hearth on the fireplace, extending into a bench, is a great touch!}

{ Thomas Urquijo’s living rooms. The look is thoughtful and deliberate, yet each space resonates with an effortless nature. These are layered spaces filled with eclectic pieces, bold patterns, rich colors, and art from a cross-section of periods, all composed with brilliant panache. Thomas Urquijo’s work is a beautiful blend of classic pieces composed with modern verve.}

{I’ve seen this around, but wanted to put it on my blog anyway. Here is the Madrid apartment of Ramon Garcia Juardo and his partner Paco Pocovi who live and work together.  It was featured in Nuevo Estilo.  The space itself is clean and modern so the classical elements bring in the architectural details. The mirrored walls and ceiling add depth and bounce the light. It feels like what Bill Blass’s apartment would have looked like if he moved to Spain and mixed things up.}

{Easy and paired down styling. Light and crisp colours and lines. Effortless and honest interiors. Atelier AM.}

About:

I'm a Toronto-based interior designer, that's really more than just that. I think it's interesting to see how personalities show through what you post.

Throughout the weekdays, between 9am to 5pm, I sometimes post things I find online that are usually related to design in some way or the other. But after that, I have the 'randoms' queued up! You see my interest in design, art, illustration, architecture, photography, travel, & fashion, the things that make me laugh, that make me think, the things that excite me, and the things that I love. Soon, it won't be so random after all.
