{I’ve shared Sydney-based Katon Redgen Mathieson here before. I love their clean modern, fuss-free looks!}
{I’ve always liked these dark-paned glass partitions, but I guess I’m especially liking it today, now posting two spaces that have them consecutively. This is still rustic, but far more refined, and far more modern.}
“In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.” - Margaret Atwood, Bluebeard’s Egg
{This week’s Hump Day Happy Place… isn’t this potting shed just inspiring the gardener in you?}
{The interiors of this Michelin-rated restaurant in Denmark called Formel B has a soothing feel and an interesting simplicity in its materiality and colours. By Space Copenhagen.}
{Let’s get to work! Happy Friday! I’ll share the rest of the home where this picture is taken later.}
{This bathroom is in the home of one of my favorite Australian interior designers, Stuart Rattle. I love how he has made this quite a classic “room” (notice the only tiling is on the floor), but has quite successfully brought in some moorish elements that make this quite masculine, but very chic. Not sure how practical it must be, but it’s a striking look.}
{…and if you’re looking for a full meal and place to properly sit down, Me London has you covered with other dining options which include STK steakhouse and Cucina Asellina Italian.}
{An impressive geometric installation hangs from the ceiling of the main dining room at Namus Boutique, a restaurant in Seongnam, South Korea. Made of steel and acrylic resin, the sculptural object – its stylized form resembling an upside-down metropolis – doubles as a lamp. Suspended above the elevated open kitchen at the heart of the restaurant, it sheds light on the cooks’ preparations and calls attention to this dramatic, stage-like area. Chiho & Partners.}
{Design by Corrado di Byaze. Loving the bevelled subway tiles. Makes it looks more expensive.}
{I’ve seen this around, but wanted to put it on my blog anyway. Here is the Madrid apartment of Ramon Garcia Juardo and his partner Paco Pocovi who live and work together. It was featured in Nuevo Estilo. The space itself is clean and modern so the classical elements bring in the architectural details. The mirrored walls and ceiling add depth and bounce the light. It feels like what Bill Blass’s apartment would have looked like if he moved to Spain and mixed things up.}
{Belzberg Architects. The master bedroom looks great in this home. Incredible upholstered bed and headboard. Love the Tom Dixon pendants floating softly above the sturdy nightstands. A striking Dennis Lin sculpture creates movement above the bed. The stair banisters are also modern and interesting!}
